About
Volkan Taş is a software developer who has been building for the web since 2008. Born in 1988 and raised in Alanya on Turkey’s Mediterranean coast, he moved to Istanbul in 2006 for university. He studied at Bahçeşehir University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Management Information Systems.
He started with websites, games and animated ads, then built web apps for phones and tablets. Today he sets up scalable component architectures with React, Next.js and TypeScript. He has built enterprise-scale Angular and React applications, turned large datasets into interactive charts and built front-ends for blockchain projects, across banking and finance, telecom, aviation, defence, IoT, blockchain and agency work. From scratch, he built an end-to-end security app: evasis (IoT, Raspberry Pi). He has worked in office, remote and hybrid teams, leading and mentoring front-end developers. Today AI (Claude Code, Codex) is at the centre of his workflow; he built this site together with AI.
This site is an animated story that unfolds as you scroll, from 1988 to today: childhood, Atari, the first computer, Istanbul, the software years and AI.
